I mean there’s jabber, icq, aim, windows live, yahoo, SIP, gadu-gadu, LiveJournal, Groupwise, SameTime…
Who needs all those choices? Can’t we just decide on one and stick with it?

A couple of post ago, I told you that I upgraded the HD in my laptop. After I reinstalled MacOS X on it, I thought about installing linux on it (I had it installed in VirtualBox before). Continue reading »
A couple days ago I replaced the 120GB 5400RPM hard drive in my macbook with a 320GB 7200RPM drive. I also replaced one of my 1GB RAM sticks with a 2GB RAM stick. I ran xbench before and after the upgrade, and here are the results-

I know there have been many articles on this subject, but none really give a simple answer to this question.
I was browsing http://www.linuxdevices.com the other day, and found a device that I think is very interesting. It is called the “Touch Book”, and the article I read about it in is at http://www.linuxdevices.com/news/NS9011409662.html. After reading this article, I still had some questions about this device; so, I emailed the developer- and they said they would answer some questions for my blog.

OK, this was a little behind schedule, but SuperTuxKart 0.6.1 is out! This version has support for Mac-10.4-Intel as well as many bugfixes. So, don’t delay- go and download now.
In my last post I mentioned that I had to reinstall the OS on my computer. Even though my compuuter is up and running, it will take a while for me to install the depends for the unix games I package- so for I have gotten ready to compile STK and have compiled LinCityG-2.0 for intel macs. I still have not installed the depends forr- Pingus, SMC, ETR & the few game editors that I have packaged.
SuperTuxKart is about to release 0.6.1 in about a week. 0.6.1 is a bugfix release to 0.6 which was recently released; also because I was having computer problems, a binary for MacOS X 10.4 (Intel) was not made for 0.6; fortunatly, my computer issue was resolved so there will be a binary of 0.6.1 for MacOS X 10.4 (Intel). The 0.6.x release has many new features, I can not even begin to list them all. 0.6.x may be the last release that uses the current grafics engine (PLIB). With 0.7, we will probably switch to Irrlicht; this will allow us to use better graphical effects, maybe even moving object in tracks.
SuperTuxKart is free (GPL), so you can go ahead and download this always improving kart game.
